Almonte Farmers' Market

Almonte Public Library Parking lot (next to the Beer Store)


We will be returning to the Almonte Farmer's Market for our 3rd season! Stop by our food stand for a selection of hot and cold breakfast and lunch items. As always, we will be serving up jars of creative preserves, dried pastas, and spice blends. New this year will be our drink bar; a selection of homemade cold beverages, as well as salad dressing and a small array of savoury baked goods!


The Almonte Farmers' Market is a dynamic display of the food movement of the Lanark Valley. With Fresh Vegetables, Organic Meats, Preserves, Pottery, Breads, Sweets, Mushrooms, and Kitchen Crafts, there is something there for everyone! Bring the family along: There is always something going on in Almonte and the Market often has special vendors that always provide entertainment!

These two special events are presented by the Almonte Farmers' Market! Come visit your favourite vendors PLUS a large array of new vendors! There is something for everyone.

We will be serving up a large menu of hot and cold lunch items as well as bringing food stuffs from our panty and freezer. Load up to get yourself through the winter!

4 C's of Cooking

This class aims to inspire you in creating your own dishes. Each week, one of the 4 principals will be highlighted during the preparation of a 3-course meal. Compliment + Contrast will be approached through flavour and texture, while Composition and Care will be explored through the presentation and intention of a dish. Each class will finish with a sit down meal of the dishes prepared. 

Pasta 101 + Some

Pasta making is a hands-on experience! In this class, we will discuss making pasta from scratch using the well-method, and applying it to make stuffed agnolotti. Seasonal + Indulgent, be prepared to get a little floury, and have fun learning how to manipulate dough and make tasty stuffings and sauce. Take your meal home, to enjoy it at your leisure!

Whether you are a vegetarian searching for new inspiration, or someone looking to include vegetarian dishes in their weekly routine, this casual class will explore interesting ways of including non-meat protein and iron rich foods in your diet. During this hands-on class you will prepare 2 simple and creative appetizers and 1 hearty main dish. All are welcome to sit and enjoy the meal after the lesson is finished.
